Happenings

Oh happenings of this busy life...

- Returning from vacation can be difficult...especially when there is a pile of laundry waiting for me
- Returning from vacation can be even more difficult when one realizes all of those "pre-scheduled" blog posts never posted...(sigh).
- Watching the first full-length movie with my son couldn't have been better (we watched Cars, and yes, I do realize that movie came out, in like, 2007. No big deal, right?).
-Dreaming and scheming on my next big idea.
-Keep thinking there should be more people in this house, after a week of the whole family together it's feeling a little lonely here.
-So thankful that potty training and bed training have been such a breeze... lately.
-Amazed at how tall that corn grew in seven days.
-Wishing the ocean was still part of my back yard.
-Thinking about all of outfits I could wear my new sandles with.
- Planning my next adventure into the woods.

How about you, what's happening in your life lately?

{Moments}:Back From The Beach

So, I realized yesterday that due to the glitchy internet of where we are staying my posts haven't been posting...Sorry to leave you hanging friends. I am back and online and ready to start posting again. YAY! Since, you didn't get to see all of my lovely journal entries pics I am just going to share some of my favorite moments from our trip with you here...

Journal & Pics

Happy Monday friends! And welcome new readers!
I am away at the beach and am looking forward to returning to this space in a few days.

While away, I am going to share with you some of my favorite pics from this beach as well as a little tid-bit of thoughts from my personal journal. I always take a journal on our vacations, as I  always seem to have an out-pouring of thoughts while away from my usual daily routine. Do you find that this  happens to you too?

Wishing you a lovely week and a little peace...

Journal Entry:

Mother Nature is astonishing. She has a peaceful force. Two contradictory words that some how join hands to make sense of the utter calm and, yet over powering nature of the ocean.

I plunge my hand into the sand. Way down deep, so I create a rough-edged imprint. Much like something a child makes in plaster of pairs at the age of 4 or 5. Childish to be playing in the sand. Giddy as the water sneaks up my imprint quickly from the sand. I do it again. I watch the water reach out and swipe my image away again. My familiar shape, size... me.  Here and then gone. Here and then gone.

Beach Bound

We are headed to the beach for a few days. We are off to relish in the company of family and friends, and those we don't have the joy of seeing very often. I will be back in this space on Wednesday.

Until then, wishing you and yours a lovely weekend and start to your week!

Can't wait to play in the sand with E again!
