A Little Bummed & Something New

I just got word yesterday that the art show I have been preparing for for the past several months has been canceled. Big BUMMER. I am a little dissapointed today, however I am going to do my best to look at this as a golden opportunity to update my Etsy shop and look for other venues to share my creations.

The last few products I have been making are these little lovely hair clips. All adorned with vintage hand-sewn lace and vintage buttons. The buttons are attached to a little piece of leather, which provides these clips with that litte hint of masculinity.

I truly love how they turned out and am looking forward to sharing them with the Etsy community.

Hope you are well today!

New In the Shop-Vintage Goodness

Two new treasures have arrived in the Emory & Olly shop. A retro pewter owl and an antique Sierra Vista California USA cookie jar from 1958! Both are so fantastic. Which piece do you like best?

New In The Shop- A Little Red To Help Japan

I love vintage buttons and love the many, many, many uses they have including philanthropy.

Now through the first week of April I am donating 100% of the profit made from the sale of these buttons to the American Red Cross Japan Relief. Every little bit will make a difference bringing health, peace, and restoration to the areas of Japan devestated by the earthquakes and tsunami.

Please share this posting or link to your blog to spread the word. You can view more products whose profits will be donated to the ARC at Emory & Olly.

Treasury Thursday: Spring Trends

Happy Thursday everyone! Here is another lovely treasury put together by the awesome Etsy seller, The Merriweather Council. She has done a great job collecting some of the new spring fashion trends, and look! Emory & Olly's Dulcinea Trio CharmNecklace is part of the mix! Take a look and spread the word about these amazing artists.

Treasury Thursdays::A Storm's A' Brew'n

In ode to the many storms we have weathered (ha-ha, sorry for the pun) the last few weeks I put together this Treasury for  my Treasury Thursday Series. So, hunker down and enjoy looking at some of these amazing artists. I so love the knarly drift-wood lamp. Just not sure what type of shade I would use on it...

Written in Stone Treasury

My newest shop, Emory and Olly, just got featured in a lovely treasury entitled: Written In Stone. I thought the curator, did a great job with the collection. Eclectic country with a twist. Kind of cool. Check it out to see some of these oh, so very talented artists.

Introducing: Emory & Olly

I have been vacillating on this for a while. Should I? Shouldn't I? Well, the other day...February 15th to be exact, I went for it. I started a NEW and yes, ANOTHER shop, on Etsy titled: Emory & Olly. Named kindly after my son, his favorite stuffed pup, Olly-Jolly Dog and given the feel of what we love the most: Nature.

So, you may have noticed my new craft-cult rolling segment at the top of my page I added a few days back, I couldn't help it as I just was too excited! My GoatNotes shop will remain open and will focus more on my paper artwork and cards, while Emory & Olly will share more of my jewelry and vintage finds.

The new shop has also spawned a revamp of this here blog, one of many to come I am sure. Bare with me as I adjust. Mess with pictures, colors, and the all too important info section. So, if you are in need of some new accessories check out Emory & Olly. All proceeds are headed straight to my son's college..or whatever his" future may hold" fund.
